Abstract:
This motor with a speed reduction mechanism includes a motor section, the speed reduction mechanism, a motion conversion mechanism, and a housing. The motion conversion mechanism converts the rotational motion of the speed reduction mechanism into a reciprocating rotational motion and transmits the motion to an output shaft. The motion conversion mechanism has a worm, a first gear, and a second gear. The worm is provided to the rotating shaft of the motor section. The first gear transmits the rotation of the worm and rotates about a first shaft. The second gear receives the rotation of the first gear transmitted thereto and rotates about a second shaft. The motion conversion mechanism has a pivoting member and a rod. The pivoting member has a sector gear and pivots about the axis of the first shaft. The rod connects the second gear and the pivoting member. The output shaft has an output gear which meshes with the sector gear.
