Abstract:
A mounting assembly (10) and a method for accommodating an optical assembly by means of the mounting assembly (10). The mounting assembly is configured to selectively accommodate a first optical assembly (300) or a second optical assembly (400). The mounting assembly (10) comprises a frame (100) and a plate (110). The frame (100) comprises a first hole (120) configured to receive the first optical assembly (300). The plate (110) comprises a second hole (130) configured to receive the second optical assembly (400), and the plate (110) is removably coupled to the frame (100), wherein the first hole (120) and the second hole (130) are different in at least one of shape and size.
