Abstract:
A movement assistance device A according to the present invention comprises: a drive wheel 13, first support wheel 14, and second support wheel 15 that contact at positions offset from each other along a circumferential direction so as to hold a handrail R, and are capable of moving in the direction of a first axis a1 of the handrail R; and an actuator 16 for transmitting motive force to the drive wheel 13. The second support wheel 15 is capable of separating from the handrail R. A body section 1 has a second spring 18 that biases the second support wheel 15 toward the handrail R.
