Abstract:
In a moving handrail for a passenger conveyor, a metallic belt-like tension body is continuously provided in the longitudinal direction of a core body made from a thermoplastic elastomer. Both ends of the moving handrail are joined at a joint section. At both ends of the belt-like tension body, there are provided first and second overlap sections overlapped on each other in the thickness direction at the joint section. At the head section of each of the first and second overlap sections is provided a tapered section at which a width dimension is gradually reduced.
