Abstract:
A moving handrail for a passenger conveyor (10) comprises a handrail body (21) made of a thermoplastic elastomer and having a C-shaped cross section, and canvas (22) provided on the inner face of the handrail body (21). The handrail body (21) comprises a pair of facing parts (24a) that face each other with an opening (20) of the handrail body (21) therebetween. The ends of the canvas in the width direction are embedded canvas sections (22a) that are embedded from the opening into the pair of facing parts. The embedded canvas sections (22a) are provided with a plurality of slits (25) in the width direction of the canvas at intervals in the lengthwise direction of the canvas (22).
