Abstract:

Disclosed is a multi-layer sliding member (51) that comprises a back plate (52) made of a steel plate, a porous sintered metal layer (53) formed integrally on the front face of the back plate (52), and a sliding layer (54) that is made of a synthetic resin composition that fills the pores and coats the surface of the porous sintered metal layer (53). The synthetic resin composition comprises 5-30 wt% barium sulfate, 1-15 wt% magnesium silicate, 1-25 wt% phosphate, 0.5-3 wt% titanium oxide and the remainder ethylene tetrafluoride resin.
