Abstract:
A strap and cord winder 10a, 10b is adjustable for different width straps and reconfigurable for cords. The winder 10a, 10b includes a handle assembly 16 with a center shaft 20 and an offset pin 32 for engaging and winding a strap. The center shaft 20 adjustably passes through a face plate 14 creating an adjustable width between a handle arm 36 of the handle assembly 16 and the face plate 14 for winding different width straps. A cylindrical grip 22 is attached to the face plate 14 opposite the handle arm 36 and the face plate 16 attaches to a chest plate 14. A spool 18 may be positioned on the center shaft 20 between the handle arm 36 and face plate 14 for coiling cords and hoses and the offset pin 32 engages a notch 50 on one end of the spool 18 to couple rotation of the handle arm 36 to rotation of the spool 18. The spool 18 includes disks 42, 44 at each end including open ended slots 46, 48 reaching radially to capture cord ends.
