Abstract:
Provided in embodiments of the present disclosure are a multi-user detection method and apparatus for cell-free MIMO. The method comprises: a central processing unit (CPU) of a cell-free MIMO system receives an MRC merged data symbol stream SMRC＝HHY of K users transmitted from an access point (AP), and multiplies SMRC by a conjugate transpose matrix SH
MRC thereof to obtain a K*K matrix SMRC SH
MRC; singular value decomposition is performed on the matrix SMRC SH
MRC to obtain a unitary matrix V; a diagonal matrix A is obtained, and a diagonal matrix Λ is obtained by means of the diagonal matrix A; and data symbols of sending ends of the K users are estimated by means of a formula (I). In the present disclosure, the CPU of a receiving end does not need to obtain channel information of each user, and the data symbols can be estimated only by relying on the MRC merged data symbol stream transmitted from the AP, and the CPU can thud implement optimal MMSE multi-user detection without increasing fronthaul transmission bandwidth from the AP to the CPU.
