Even if transmitter apparatuses use different transmission systems, the signals of the transmitter apparatuses are separated.  A receiver apparatus, which is applied to a multi-user MIMO system wherein a plurality of transmitter apparatuses transmit signals to at least one receiver apparatus, comprises a MIMO separating unit (40) that receives signals, which were transmitted by use of different transmission systems at the same frequency at the same time, and separates the received signals for the respective transmitter apparatuses; a switching unit (41) that switches output destinations according to the transmission systems of the separated signals; single-carrier processing units (42) that are provided for the respective transmission systems and that process the output signals from the switching unit (41) according to the respective transmission systems; and a multi-carrier processing unit (43).
