Abstract:
A processing device 200 for a multicore cable 1 is a device for processing the multicore cable 1, which includes a sheath 2 and a plurality of core wires 3, 4 that are inserted through the sheath 2, the processing device 200 comprising: a cutting device 21 for forming a circumferential-direction slit in the sheath 2; a withdrawing device 22 for exposing the plurality of core wires 3, 4 by moving, in a longitudinal direction of the multicore cable 1, at least one of the sheath 2 closer to a tip end side of the multicore cable 1 than the slit, and the sheath 2 closer to a base side of the multicore cable 1 than the slit; a detecting device 31 for detecting a position, in relation to the circumferential direction of the multicore cable 1, of a specific core wire 3 among the plurality of core wires 3, 4; and a rotating device 32a for rotating the multicore cable 1 on the basis of the detected position, in the circumferential direction, of the specific core wire 3, to move the specific core wire 3 to a predetermined circumferential-direction position.
