Abstract:
The invention relates to medical equipment and is directed toward providing expanded functional capabilities without the need for significant physical effort. The present bed comprises a base and three movable sections controlled by two mechanical screw drives via a system of levers, said screw drives being disposed in the end portion of the base. The base consists of two main parts: one part of the base comprises a head section hingedly connected thereto; and the second part of the base, in which the drives are disposed, comprises a hip section, hingedly connected to the base at the junction between the parts of the base and the hinges of the head section, and an ankle section, hingedly connected to the hip section. The main parts of the bed are connected by bolts at locations proximal the hinges of the head and hip sections, the bolts being reinforced by tubes and plates, and a tensioning member of the system of levers for adjusting the position of the head section is connected by a bolt.
