Abstract:
A multihop relay system for communication using a flooding scheme, the system comprising: a transmission node; and a relay node, wherein the transmission node is configured to generate and transmit synchronization packets for synchronizing a plurality of relay nodes at a predetermined cycle, the relay node is configured to perform first intermittent reception to standby for reception of a synchronization packet in a first period at each first cycle corresponding to the predetermined cycle, and second intermittent reception to standby for reception of a synchronization packet in a second period that is longer than or equal to the length of the predetermined cycle, at each second cycle that is longer than the first cycle, and the relay node performs the second intermittent reception when a synchronization packet has not been received in the first intermittent reception, determines whether or not a received synchronization packet meets a predetermined condition if the synchronization packet has been received in the second intermittent reception, stops the second intermittent reception and performs the first intermittent reception if it is determined that the predetermined condition is met, and performs a synchronization recovery process if it is determined that the predetermined condition is not met.
