Disclosed is a filler neck (5) which is to be mounted on an opening (4) in a tank wall (2) and comprises a first annular collar (8, 108) that can be placed on one side of the edge of the opening (4) as well as s second annular collar (9, 109) that can be placed on the other side of the edge of the opening, the two annular collars being screwed together. Said filler neck (5) is characterized in that: - the first annular collar (8; 108) has a first collar (13; 113) and a first thread (14; 114), the first collar (13; 113) being adjusted to the shape of the tank wall (2; 3) and resting against said tank wall; - the second annular collar (9; 109) has a second collar (17; 117) which is adjusted to the shape of the tank wall (2; 3), rests against said tank wall, and is adjoined by a tubular extension (16; 116) that forms a first contact surface (18; 118) extending on a plane running normal to the axis; - and a screw-on ring (10; 110) has a second thread (24; 124) and a flange (21; 121), the second thread (23; 124) cooperating with the first thread (14; 114) of the first annular collar (8; 108), and the flange (21; 121) forming a second contact surface (22; 122) which extends on a plane running normal to the axis and cooperates with the first contact surface (18; 118) of the second annular collar (9; 109).
