Description:
MULTIPIECE AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL BED

Technical Field

The invention relates to a bed which is composed of a plurality of parts, preferably three parts which can be easily attached to and removed from each other, and which can be formed by different combinations so as to thereby have different functions.

Prior Art

Currently, beds with different characteristics are used for people to sleep or rest in places such as houses and hotels. Each bed consists of one piece whereas it has different functions. This brings some problems. One of these problems is the transportation problem of the bed. As the bed is one piece it covers a large volume, so its transportation is more laborious.

Another problem is that when the bed mechanism breaks down, the bed cannot be used completely and is discarded. In this case, a new bed is required to replace the broken bed and additional costs are incurred.

Another common problem is, for example, if a double bed is considered, one person wants to sleep on the hard bed and the other person wants to sleep on the softer bed. In this case, there is no bed mechanism to address the needs of two people. As the whole surface of the bed is made with the same property (same hardness), it cannot function individually. Similarly, some people prefer spring beds, some prefer sponge beds, some prefer hard beds and soft beds. However, since the existing beds consist of one piece, they are insufficient to provide different properties.

Although there is no patent similar to a multi-part bed according to the invention, some patents made in the relevant art are described below. European Patent No. EP2424483B1 relates to security mechanism for high beds. Height adjustable beds involve the risk for the patient to fall out of the bed. In order to prevent this to happen, the bed is furnished with a device which observes whether a nursing person is within a proximity zone of the bed. When the nursing person leaves the proximity zone and the bed is adjusted to a height implying potential danger for the person in the bed, a message (sms) is sent to a mobile unit carried by the nursing person. The indication warns the nursing person, making it possible for him to prevent the potential dangerous situation by height adjustment of the bed to a safe height for leaving the bed. Hereby personal injury is prevented or minimized as much as possible.

The utility publication number TR2012/01792 relates to spring bearings comprising side reinforcing blocks, air ducts formed on said reinforcing wedges, said air channels formed on said felt layer and air channels formed on said filler foam. As a result, the existence of the above problems and the insufficiency of the existing solutions necessitated an improvement in the technical field regarding the bearing structures.

Objects of the Invention

Starting from the state of the art, the main object of the invention is to develop a bed consisting of a plurality of parts, preferably three parts which can be easily attached to and removable from each other, so that a bed can be formed with different combinations so as to have different functions thereby.

Another object of the invention is to provide convenience during transportation and carriage since the bed of the invention consists of three parts with modular construction.

A further object of the invention is to prevent purchasing a new bed by replacing only the broken part if any of the three parts forming the bed is damaged or broken.

A further object of the invention is to enable the user to change the parts according to his/her own preference and to create his/her own special bed at home and to easily change the location of the parts at any time as he/she wishes.

A further object of the invention is to give a single-part image putting a cover on the bed after the three parts forming the bed are connected to each other through the interconnecting points. At the same time, it is to ensure that the parts are not separated from each other and any gap therebetween is not caused due to the tension of the cover while sleeping on the bed.

In order to achieve these objectives, a bed has been developed, which is characterized by - comprising three parts, which are a first part, a second part and a third part respectively,

- wherein the first part, the second part and the third part each have different hardness values and functional properties,

- wherein the first part, the second part, and the third part are mountable to and removable from each other in different combinations by means of the connecting means positioned on the side surfaces of the first part, the connecting components positioned on the side surfaces of the second part, and the connecting elements positioned on the side surfaces of the third part. Description of the Drawings

Detailed Description of the Invention

Figure 1 is a perspective view of the bed which the cover (D) is put on according to the subject invention. After putting the cover (D) on the parts forming the bed, the parts are not separated and no gap is formed due to the tension of the cover (D). This makes the bed look like a single piece.

Figure 2 is a top view of the three parts forming the bed where they are mounted to each other. The bed comprises a first part (A), a second part (B) and a third part (C) according to the invention. The first part (A), the second part (B) and the third part (C), each of which is a separate part, merge into a normal bed size. Here, the three parts of the bed can also have separate features. For example, the first part (A) is spring, the second part (B) is soft, the third part (C) can be hard. They can be the opposite. For example, a person with a low back pain may put the third part (C) in the middle to form a compatible bed for his/her low back as the third part (C) is rigid. Or, since the second part (B) is soft, he/she can form a bed by taking this part to his/her head part. The technical features of the first part (A), the second part (B) and the third part (C) forming the bed can be changed optionally and when needed. They can be in viscoelastic, spring, sponge, hard, soft etc. forms. The user can change the parts according to his/her own wishes and he/she can create his/her own special bed at home. He/She can change the parts whenever he/she wants.

The bed of the present invention consists of three modular parts, making it easier to transport and carry. In addition, when any of the three parts forming the bed is damaged or broken, it is prevented to purchase a new bed due to the possibility to only change the broken part.

As shown in Figure 3, the connecting means (10) are positioned on the side surfaces of the first part (A) forming the bed. The connecting components (20) are also positioned on the side wool surfaces of the second part (B). Similarly, the connecting elements (30) are also positioned on the side surfaces of the third part (C). The connecting means (10), the connecting components (20) and the connecting elements (30) are formed to correspond to each other, which functions to join each part to the other hook-and-loop fasteners and/or snap fasteners and/or buttons can be used as connecting means (10), connecting component (20) and connecting element (30).

Figures 4 and Figure 5 show the top views of alternative combinations of the first part (A), the second part (B) and the third part (C) which all form the bed
