Abstract:
In the present invention, in a housing, a divisional backing bearing assembly shaft is moved by a sliding mechanism on one of: rails 13, 19, 20 of a replacement carriage 12; a spray frame upper surface 9; and a housing bore upper surface 8a constituting the housing. Outside the housing, the divisional backing bearing assembly shaft is moved by the sliding mechanism on the rails 13, 19, 20 of the replacement carriage 12, so that the divisional backing bearing assembly shaft is pulled out from inside the housing or inserted in the housing. Accordingly, the present invention provides: a rolling mill which facilitates replacement of a divisional backing bearing assembly shaft in a rolling mill as compared with conventional machines; and a method for replacing the divisional backing bearing assembly shaft in the rolling mill.
