Abstract:
Disclosed are an adenosine derivative as represented by formula I, and synthesis preparation process and use thereof in treating hyperlipidemia, fatty liver and atherosclerosis. Particularly, disclosed is a novel compound N6-(1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl)-adenosine (compound 1). The compound greatly activates AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) both in vivo and in vitro, reduces total cholesterol, triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) level in the blood of golden hamsters with hyperlipidemia, inhibits the ectopic accumulation of liver lipid, and has the uses of treating hyperlipidemia and fatty liver and preventing diseases such as peripheral-vascular diseases and atherosclerosis.
