Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a nanofiber production device and nanofiber production method using a melt-blowing process with improved productivity. [Solution] A pellet-form raw material (resin) which has been loaded into a hopper 2 is fed to the inside of a heating cylinder 3 heated by a heater 4, and melted, and fed to the front of the heated cylinder 3 by means of a screw 5 that is rotated by a motor 6. A head part 7 is provided to the heating cylinder, and high-pressure gas is blown out from a gas jetting port 71 which is formed in the center of the head part 7. Molten resin that has reached the tip of the heated cylinder 3 is passed through the interior of the head part 7 and is discharged from six extremely thin resin discharge ports 73 that are positioned in a recessed position from the resin discharge port 73 in the downstream direction. As a result of this configuration, molten resin discharged from the resin discharge ports 73 is stretched, forming fibers having a nano-order diameter.
