Abstract:
The present invention relates to a negative Poisson's ratio structure that has three-dimensional characteristics and a combination method therefor, which belong to the technical field of negative Poisson's ratio structures. The present invention is formed from basic units by means of the following steps: first, two basic units of a two-dimensional chiral negative Poisson's ratio structure are superimposed; further, one of the basic units of the two-dimensional negative Poisson's ratio structure is linearly rotated by 90° along the minor axis direction to form an orthogonal three-dimensional basic unit, the two basic units of the two-dimensional negative Poisson's ratio structure intersect and are fixed at a bisection point of an inner rib, and each basic unit of the two-dimensional negative Poisson's ratio structure consists of four adjacent ring nodes and five ribs associated with each other. The present invention has the characteristics of applying pressure in one determined direction and producing contraction in the other two directions. The processing is simple and easy to implement.
