Abstract:
Provided are a neuraminic acid derivative, which selectively inhibits virus sialidase activity but little inhibits human sialidase activity, a sialidase activity inhibitor, and an antiinfluenza drug.
The aforesaid neuraminic acid derivative is characterized by comprising a compound represented by chemical formula (1), a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate of the same, a solvate of the same or a prodrug of the same.
In chemical formula (1), R1 and R2 represent hydrogen, an optionally branched C1-8 alkyl group or an optionally branched C1-8 cycloalkyl group; and R3 represents hydrogen or fluorine.
