Abstract:
A new timber rotary lathe, comprising a frame (1), a main motor (2), a spindle (3), a pressure plate (4) above the frame (1), and a variator (5). The variator (5) is connected with the main motor (2). The pressure plate (4) comprises a top layer (4-1), an intermediate layer (4-2) and a protective layer (4-3). The top layer (4-1) is connected with the intermediate layer (4-2) by means of adhesives, and the intermediate layer (4-2) is connected with the protective layer (4-3) by means of adhesives. The intermediate layer (4-2) is a sheet layer, and the protective layer (4-3) is a rubber layer. The operating efficiency of the rotary lathe is improved by connecting a variator (5) to the main motor (2), and an outer surface of the timber is protected from abrasion by means of the rubber protective layer (4-3) of the pressure plate (4). Meanwhile, by means of a pressing actuating mechanism (6), even rotary cutting of logs by the pressure plate (4) is ensured, thereby improving the production quality.
