Abstract:
Provided are: an N,N'-diarylurea derivative represented by general formula (1) (in formula (1), Z is a divalent organic group; R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkyloxyalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group, an alkylsulfanyl group, an aralkylsulfanyl group, an arylsulfanyl group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an aralkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group, an aralkylsulfonylamino group, an arylsulfonylamino group, an acyl group, or the like; a plurality of R moieties may bond to each other to form a ring; A and B are methyl groups; a, b and c are each independently an integer between 0 and 4; and n is 0 or 1); and a thermosensitive recording material which exhibits high whiteness in non-printed parts, exhibits good coloring density and which is obtained by using an N,N'-diarylurea derivative, which meets performance required of a thermosensitive recording material having high printed part storability, as a color developer.
