Abstract:
Provided is a noise reduction device in which a high noise reduction effect can be obtained even if a user changes the position of the user's ears. A noise reduction device 1 comprises a pair of movable units 2R, 2L, arms 3 that move the movable units, a movable control part W2 that controls the arms 3, and a noise control part W1, wherein: each of the pair of movable units 2R, 2L comprises an error microphone 5 that detects noise, a speaker 4 that generates a cancellation sound for reducing the noise, and a camera 6; the noise control part W1, on the basis of the noise detected by the error microphones 5, computes a cancellation signal for reducing the noise and transmits the same to the speakers 4; and the movable control part W2 detects ears in images photographed by the cameras 6, determines the positional relationship between a user's ears and the cameras 6, and controls the arms 3 such that the positions of the movable units 2R, 2L are within a prescribed positional range from the user's ears.
