Abstract:
This non-woven fabric for hygiene contains fibers at least a part of the surface of which comprise a polyethylene resin, and has a volume filling ratio of at least 3.5%. The fibers have a long axis and a short axis, and it is preferable that the ratio of the length of the long axis to that of the short axis be 1.5–10. It is preferable for the fibers to come into mutual contact at a plurality of points in a cross-section of the non-woven fabric. The present invention also provides an absorbent article provided with the non-woven fabric for hygiene. Furthermore, the present invention also provides a method for manufacturing the non-woven fabric for hygiene, in which air-through treatment and consolidation treatment are applied to a web of fibers, at least a part of the surface of which comprises a polyethylene resin.
