Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a non-woven fabric for a sound-absorbing material, and a sound-absorbing material, that have exceptional thickness recovery properties and following properties during molding and also have exceptional sound-absorbing performance. In order to solve this problem, the present invention provides a non-woven fabric layered body for a sound-absorbing material in which a non-woven fabric layer α and a non-woven fabric layer β are layered, wherein: the non-woven fabric layer α contains staple fibers A having a fineness of 0.4-3.8 dtex, staple fibers B having a fineness of 4.0-22.0 dtex, and staple fibers C1 in which a resin having a melting point of 135-190°C is included in an outer layer, the total of the staple fiber A content and staple fiber B content being 86-98 mass% relative to the entire mass of the non-woven fabric layer α, the staple fiber C1 content being 2-14 mass% relative to the entire mass of the non-woven fabric layer α, and the content ratio (staple fiber A content/staple fiber B content) of the staple fibers A and the staple fibers B being 0.05-3.80; the non-woven fabric layer β contains staple fibers C2 in which a resin having a melting point of 70-190°C is included in an outer layer; and the staple fiber C2 content is 20-60 mass% relative to the entire mass of the non-woven fabric layer β, the non-woven fabric layer α and the non-woven fabric layer β being partially fused.
