Abstract:
A power reception device 3 of a noncontact power supply apparatus 1, when the measurement value of an output voltage acquired by rectifying power received via a resonance circuit 20 that has a reception coil 21 for receiving power from a transmission coil 14 of a power transmission device 2 and that has a resonance capacitor 22 connected in parallel to the reception coil 21 becomes equal to or higher than an upper limit threshold value, short-circuits a resonance suppression coil 31 provided so as to be electromagnetically connectable to the reception coil 21, and notifies the power transmission device 2 of an output voltage abnormality. The power transmission device 2, when being notified of the output voltage abnormality, changes a switching frequency and/or a voltage of AC power applied to the transmission coil 14.
