Abstract:
Provided are a nonwoven cloth having a high degree of fiber orientation, and a method for manufacturing the nonwoven cloth. A nonwoven cloth manufacturing facility (20) comprises a fiber aggregate manufacturing step (21), and a heating step (22). In the fiber aggregate manufacturing step (21), fibers (11) are formed using an electrospinning method, the formed fibers (11) are collected, and a fiber aggregate (60) is formed. In the heating step (22), the fiber aggregate (60) is heated such that the heating period required from when 90% of the melting temperature Tm of the fibers (11) is reached until the melting temperature Tm is reached is 15 seconds or more, and a nonwoven cloth (10) is formed. The formed nonwoven cloth (10) has a degree of orientation of 1.1-1.3 inclusive.
