Abstract:
Novel mycaminosyltylonolide derivatives represented by general formula (I) or salts thereof, and drugs comprising the same, wherein X represents a hydroxyl group or a hydrogen atom; R represents -CH�2?SR?1� (wherein R?1� represents an alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl group); and Me represents a methyl group. The above compounds have excellent antimicrobial activities against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and are useful as macrolide antibiotics.
