Abstract:
The present application discloses a novel poly(arylene ether) resin, the number-average molecular weight thereof is 1000-4000, and preferably the number-average molecular weight thereof is 2000-3000. The structural formula thereof is as shown in the following formula (1). In the formula (1), R1, R2, R3 and R4 are selected from hydrogen, halogen and C1-C12 alkyl; R5, R6 are selected from hydrogen or methyl; R7-R9 are selected from hydrogen or C1-C18 alkyl; and m and n are integers of 1 to 50. The present application further discloses a preparation method for the novel poly(arylene ether) resin, comprising the following steps: adding poly(arylene ether) and a polyphenol compound into a good solvent of poly(arylene ether), then adding peroxide, performing a first reaction, cooling same after the completion of the first reaction, pouring the obtained first reaction liquid into the poor solvent to precipitate bis(hydroxyl) poly(arylene ether); then adding a blocking agent and a catalyst, performing a second reaction, and after the completion of the second reaction, pouring the obtained reaction liquid into the poor solvent to precipitate the novel poly(arylene ether) resin as shown in formula (1).
