Abstract:
A numerical control system according to the present invention implements axis control while prefetching a machining program block by block, the numerical control system comprising: a program execution unit that executes the machining program; a program prefetching unit that performs prefetching in the machining program; a prefetching block count calculation unit that calculates a prefetching block count, which is the difference between the number of the block executed by the program execution unit and the number of the block prefetched by the program prefetching unit; a depleted block detection unit that detects a depleted block, which is a block at a point in time when the prefetching block count drops below a stipulated value; and a program command time adjustment unit that, if the depleted block has been detected, stops or suppresses a function by which the program execution unit executes the machining program.
