An object detection device 1000 that comprises a transmission unit 1101 that has a transmission antenna and uses the transmission antenna to radiate electromagnetic waves toward an object, a reception unit 1102 that has a reception antenna, uses the reception antenna to receive electromagnetic waves that have been reflected by the object as a reception signal, and generates an intermediate frequency signal from the received reception signal, and a computation device 1211. The computation device 1211 calculates an amplitude distribution for the electromagnetic waves reflected by the object on the basis of the arrangement of the transmission antenna, the arrangement of the reception antenna, the frequency of the electromagnetic waves radiated from the transmission antenna, and the intermediate frequency signal and uses a correction operator that has been calculated from a point spread function that indicates the characteristics of the transmission unit 1101 and the reception unit 1102 to correct the calculated amplitude distribution.
