Abstract:
An online payment method for a highway toll, the method comprising: acquiring initial information sent by a terminal, and storing the initial information in a target database, wherein the information in the target database is used for describing a binding relationship between the terminal, a license plate number and a payment account (101); when it is detected that a target vehicle arrives at a highway entrance, identifying the target vehicle on the basis of an optical character recognition algorithm, so as to obtain a target license plate number (102); searching the target database for a target terminal and a target payment account that match the target license plate number, and sending a match confirmation request to the target terminal, and when confirmation information for replying to the match confirmation request is received, controlling a bar of a barrier gate at the highway entrance to lift to allow passage (103); and when it is detected that the target vehicle arrives at a highway exit, sending a fee deduction request for a highway toll to the target terminal, and controlling a bar of a barrier gate at the highway exit to lift to allow passage, wherein the fee deduction request is used for making the target terminal pay the highway toll by means of the target payment account within a preset duration (104). In addition, the initial information can be stored in a blockchain.
