Abstract:
Provided is an optical connector in which the relative positions of a positioning mechanism can be measured from the same direction. An optical connector (10) according to the present invention is provided for optically coupling a first optical transmission line (20) and a second optical transmission line (30), and is provided with a first connector component (11) disposed so as to cover at least a portion of the first optical transmission line (20), the first connector component (11) having: a first positioning section (115) for positioning the first optical transmission line (20); a second positioning section for positioning the second optical transmission line (30) held by a second connector component (12) connected to the first connector component (11); and a measurement assistive section (116) formed so as to correspond to the arrangement of the second positioning section, wherein at least a portion of each of the first positioning section (115) and the measurement assistive section (116) is formed at a position that is visible from the same direction at the same time.
