Abstract:
A monitoring control unit (22) of an OXC (20d) stores a management table (22a) in which respective pieces of information concerning the optical signal modulation method, FEC, and frame mode are stored in association with each other and, upon receiving an input of an LOS alarm from a relay-side optical input/output unit (24) or an LOF alarm from a DSP (25), changes the optical signal modulation method, the FEC, and the frame mode, sequentially. When an appropriate optical signal has been successfully received in accordance with the change, transmission source information contained in the optical signal is acquired, and, in the case when the acquired transmission source information represents an optical cross-connect device at a transmission source different from an original transmission source, it is determined that an erroneous connection has occurred in an optical transmission line of the OXC (20g) serving as a relay device.
