Abstract:
The present invention is provided with a first clad layer (101), a waveguide-type laser (102), an absorption layer (103), and a second clad layer (104). The absorption layer (103) is configured by an oversaturation absorbent body such as graphene. In addition, the absorption layer (103) is provided between an active layer (105) and a distributed Bragg reflector section (107). The absorption layer (103) is formed below a core (108) that constitutes an optical waveguide between the active layer (105) and the distributed Bragg reflector section (107) [second region (122)].
