Title:
OPTICAL ELEMENT AND IMAGING APPARATUS USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1999/006863
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An optical element (10) which comprises as shown in the figure an input optical member (11) molded to a unitary body by arranging a plurality of optical fibers in parallel with each other, and having an incident surface (11a) and an emergent surface (11b) which cross an optical axis at angles of 90° and 20° respectively, and an output optical member (12) molded to a unitary body by arranging a plurality of optical fibers in parallel with each other, and having an incident surface (12a) crossing the optical axis at an angle of 55°, and an emergent surface (12b) parallel to the incident surface (12a), wherein the emergent surface (11b) of the input optical member (11) and the incident surface (12a) of the output optical member (12) contact each other, and an angle between an optical axis of the input optical member (11) and that of the output optical member is 35°, the difference between the above-mentioned angles of 55° and 20°.
