Abstract:
An optical fiber automatic focus method for laser processing, and an automatic focus system. In the method, automatic focus is performed by using the following steps: image acquisition: acquiring an image of an optical fiber to be processed; processing the image to obtain an image edge; obtaining a fiber core edge: performing non-maximum suppression processing and discrete edge linking processing on the image edge to obtain fine upper and lower edges of a fiber core; offset calculation: calculating the offset according to the upper and lower edges of the fiber core; and offset compensation: performing compensation on the basis of information of the offset so as to focus laser light on a target position on the optical fiber. The optical fiber automatic focus method for laser processing and the automatic focus system can achieve optical fiber automatic focus so that laser light is focused on a target position on an optical fiber, positioning accuracy is high, focusing speed is quick, and different types of optical fibers can be processed.
