Abstract:
　The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical film having thermochromic properties such that the near-infrared screening factor can be adjusted in response to the temperature environment, and having low haze, and exceptional cohesion and resistance to cracking even with service for an extended period; and a method for manufacturing the same. This optical film has, on a transparent substrate, an optically functional layer containing at least a vanadium dioxide-containing powder and a binder resin, wherein the optical film is characterized in that the number-average particle diameter of all particles, including primary particles and secondary particles, of the vanadium dioxide-containing powder in the optically functional layer is less than 200 nm.
