Abstract:
Provided is an optical film whereby rainbow unevenness when viewed with the naked eye can be suppressed, without increasing in-plane phase difference. The optical film has a low-refractive-index layer upon a plastic film. The plastic film is a biaxially stretched plastic film having an in-plane phase difference of no more than 2,500 nm and the low-refractive-index layer is positioned on the outermost surface. In the optical film, when ΔEab is calculated from the difference between an L* value, a* value, and b* value when a laminate 1 including the optical film, a polarizer, and a planar light source is measured under prescribed conditions and an L* value, a* value, and b* value when a laminate 2 including the polarizer and the planar light source is measured under prescribed conditions, ΔEab has a region fulfilling prescribed conditions.
