Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a thin, highly heat-resistant optical filter that includes a dielectric multi-layer film, has a sufficient viewing angle, and has improved crack resistance; an optical filter that has excellent heat resistance, exhibits little hygroscopicity and little warpage, and is particularly suitable for near-infrared cut filters that can be suitably used for correcting the visibility of solid-state imaging elements, such as CCDs or CMOS image sensors; and a solid-state imaging element comprising said optical filter. This optical filter comprises: a substrate that includes a transparent resin having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of from 110 to 500°C; and a dielectric multi-layer film on at least one surface of the substrate. The optical filter is characterized in that at least one layer in the dielectric multi-layer film is formed by ion beam-assisted deposition using a gas mixture including an inert gas and an oxygen gas.
