Abstract:
An optical frequency controller (1) is provided with: a detector circuit (16) that modulates first light oscillated by a first light source (11) with a local oscillation signal oscillated by a local oscillation signal source (15) and detects a difference beat signal between sideband light of the light after modulation and second light oscillated by a second light source (12); a light source control circuit (21) that divides the difference beat signal detected by the detector circuit (16) with a first number of frequency divisions and divides a reference signal oscillated by a reference signal source (20) with a second number of frequency divisions, and outputs to the second light source (12) a phase error signal that indicates the phase difference between the difference beat signal after division and the reference signal after division to thus change a second frequency included in the second light oscillated by the second light source (12); and a signal processing unit (24) that sets the first number of frequency divisions and the second number of frequency divisions in accordance with a set value of the frequency difference between a first frequency included in the first light and the second frequency included in the second light.
