Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical module capable of maintaining the optical properties of optical components accommodated in an accommodation space. A laser module 1 is provided with: a case 10 including a base part 12 on which optical components 40-42 are mounted and side walls 31-34 which extend from the base part 12 in the height direction; a cover member 20 which together with the case 10, defines an accommodation space S; and a resin 70 for fixing the case 10 and the cover member 20. The side wall 31 is provided with an abutting portion 61 having an abutting side surface 61A, the side wall 32 is provided with a cover-receiving surface 52 that receives the cover member 20, the side wall 33 is provided with an abutting portion 63 having an abutting side surface 63A, and the side wall 34 is provided with a cover-receiving surface 54 that receives the cover member 20. The abutting side surface 61A of the abutting portion 61 and a cover side surface 21 of the cover member 20 face each other with the resin 70 therebetween, and the abutting side surface 63A of the abutting portion 63 and a cover side surface 23 of the cover member 20 face each other with the resin 70 therebetween. Cover side surfaces 22 and 24 of the cover member 20 are exposed to the outside.
