Abstract:
In an optical communication device for transmitting light to perform information communication, light is efficiently coupled by using a lens in order to reduce loss when transmitting light inside the optical module, in which a plurality of optical elements are integrated, or transmitting light from an optical module to an optical module. However, when an adhesive is used for fixing the lens, there is a problem in that the lens is deviated from a desired position due to the contraction of the adhesive while curing, and the efficiency of coupling is degraded. An optical module according to the present disclosure comprises: a lens; a holding member that holds the lens by bonding the lens thereto using a first adhesive part in a first direction; and a base that supports the holding member by bonding the holding member thereto using a second adhesive part in a second direction reverse to the first direction, Therefore, it is possible to suppress a positional deviation of the lens caused by the expansion or contraction of an adhesive material.
