Abstract:
This optical receiver array is formed from a plurality of receivers arranged in an array, the receivers being provided with a photonic crystal slow light waveguide (12), and this lidar device is formed from the optical receiver array (10) and a transmitter (21) disposed in a straight line. The arrangement relationship of the plurality of receivers (11a-11d) of the optical receiver array (10) is that of an array element in which the plurality of receivers provided with the photonic crystal slow light waveguide (12) are arranged in an array, and the array arrangement is determined by (b) the arrangement determining the positional relationship among the plurality of receivers constituting the optical receiver array and (c) an alignment determining the orientation of the receivers. The arrangement pitch p, the wavelength λ of reception light, and the arrival angle ∆θr when the phase difference between reception light received at waveguide ends of adjacent receivers is a single wavelength are related by the expression p = λ/sin ∆θr, and a configuration in which the arrival angle ∆θr and the spread angle ∆θt of radiated light are the same is preferred.
