Title:
OPTICAL RECEPTION DEVICE AND CLOCK SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/240695
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This optical reception device comprises: a coherent optical receiver unit that generates a received signal I-axis component and a received signal Q-axis component based on a continuous-phase frequency-shift keyed optical signal; a converter unit that generates a digital signal for the I-axis component of the received signal and a digital signal for the Q-axis component of the received signal; a differential detector unit that generates a differential detection signal; a frequency offset compensator unit that derives the amount of phase change or over-time Q-axis component change of the differential detection signal after a frequency offset component of the differential detection signal has been compensated for; a clock error detector unit that, on the basis of the amount of phase change or over-time Q-axis component change of the differential signal, detects the amount of deviation in sampling phase of the differential detection signal after the frequency offset component of the differential detection signal has been compensated for; and a received clock generator unit that generates a clock having a frequency adjusted so as to reduce deviation.
