Abstract:
This optical waveguide package comprises: a substrate (1); and an optical waveguiding layer (5) that has a cladding (3) located on an upper surface of the substrate and a core (4) located within the cladding. The substrate (1) has a first section (31) and second sections (32) that are exposed at least on the upper surface. The strength of adherence of the second sections to the cladding is greater than the strength of adherence of the first section to the cladding.
