Abstract:
The invention relates to an optomechanical transducer (1), comprising: • a tuning fork (2) made of piezoelectric material comprising two arms (3a, 3b), • at least one photoactive film (4) partially deposited on at least one part of at least one of the arms (3a, 3b) of the tuning fork (2), the at least one photoactive film (4) comprising photo-switchable molecules, suitable for molecular switching between a first molecular configuration and a second molecular configuration in response to the absorption of light at a defined, so-called photo-isomerisation wavelength, so that the photoactive film (4) undergoes a shape change that induces a change in the stiffness coefficient of the tuning fork (2). The invention also relates to a probe for a frequency modulation atomic force microscope and to such a microscope.
