Abstract:

A production method for an organic EL element according to one embodiment is provided with: a step for forming an organic EL unit 16 on an organic EL unit arrangement area 141 in a first electrode section 14 while conveying an electrode-equipped substrate 26 in a first direction X; a step for forming a band-shaped conductive film 34 along the first direction so as to cover at least a part of an external connection area in the first electrode section, and the organic EL unit while conveying the electrode-equipped substrate on which the organic EL section is formed in the first direction; and a step for forming a groove section 36 that separates the conductive film into a first part 341 and a second part 342 being a second electrode section 18 by removing the conductive film in a prescribed area in a second direction Y while conveying the electrode-equipped substrate on which the conductive film is formed in the first direction, and extends in the first direction. The prescribed area is an area in which the first part and the external connection area are insulated and separated by the groove section.
