Abstract:
An organic electroluminescent element which has a high color purity, high luminescent efficiency, and long life and emits a red color; and a novel compound. The organic electroluminescent element comprises at least one pair of electrodes and an organic layer interposed therebetween, and is characterized in that the organic layer contains a compound comprising a fluoranthene-containing skeleton which has been substituted at least by an amine or alkenyl group.
