Abstract:
Provided is an original plate for an on-press development type lithographic printing plate, the original plate comprising an aluminum supporting body and an image recording layer provided on the aluminum supporting body, wherein the image recording layer contains an infrared-absorbing polymethine pigment with a HOMO of no greater than -5.2 eV, a polymerization initiator, and a hepta- or higher functional polymerizable compound, and either does not contain a polymer having a molecular weight of 10,000 or more or contains a polymer having a molecular weight of 10,000 or more in such an amount that a ratio Wp/Wm of a content Wp of the polymer having a molecular weight of 10,000 or more to a content Wm of the hepta- or higher functional polymerizable compound is no greater than 1.00. Also provided is a lithographic printing plate fabricating method or a lithographic printing method using the original plate for an on-press development type lithographic printing plate.
