Abstract:

An oscillator and a clock circuit. In an oscillator (100), a tail inductor connected to a cross-coupling tube comprises at least two inductors that are connected in parallel, and therefore, an inductance of the tail inductor is less than the inductance of either of the inductors. The design problem that the tail inductor having a smaller inductance needs to be used with the increase of VCO working frequency can be solved. The oscillator (100) comprises a first cross-coupling tube (121) and a first tail inductor (111); the first tail inductor (111) comprises at least two inductors that are connected in parallel; the first tail inductor (111) is coupled to a source of the first cross-coupling tube (121), wherein the source of the first cross-coupling tube (121) is coupled to a power supply end or a ground by means of the first tail inductor (111); the first cross-coupling tube (121) at least comprises a first transistor (1211) and a second transistor (1212); a gate of the first transistor (1211) and a drain of the second transistor (1212) are coupled to a first node; and the drain of the first transistor (1211) and the gate of the second transistor (1212) are coupled to a second node.
